This 19th-century coaching inn is situated between Matlock and Buxton in the heart of the Peak District. Located in the centre of Bakewell's historic market town the property is easily accessible for visiting Haddon Hall a 5-minute drive away. Located on the edge of the Chatsworth Estate Chatsworth House can be reached by a short 10-minute drive. Rooms are located either in the beautiful main building or the courtyard. Each room is decorated to a high standard and refurbished in 2020. The restaurant offers exciting menus and serves breakfast lunch and dinner. Jane Austen is believed to have stayed at the hotel whilst writing Pride and Prejudice.
